To the cooperators of Ukraine
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate the cooperative community of Ukraine on the occasion of the International Co-operative Day!
Cooperative movement, that embarked on the road of organizational development two hundred years ago, today plays an important role in the economy of the majority of countries of the world. Almost one billion of people of our planet have chosen the benefits of cooperative business model together with its values and principles, recognized by the international community.
Today cooperation holds an important position within the structure of national economy. Domestic cooperative organizations and enterprises make an important contribution into securing population employment; optimal use of local resources; and increase of socio-economic and cultural living standards of our people.
I am convinced that cooperative movement in our country, being guided by the principles of lawfulness, solidarity, equality and democracy, is a great example of successful consolidation of people in the condition of a complicated social, political and economic situation in order to reach the joint aim and defend one’s own interests.
I reassure you that the Verkhovna Rada will always support cooperators and promote all their initiatives directed at spreading democratic values, securing citizens’ rights and freedoms and holding of important economic and social reforms in order to increase the level of citizens’ welfare.
Believing in the European future of Ukraine, I wish you significant achievements in the case important for the harmonious development of our society. I wish you and your families peace, well-being and happiness!
